Tower Grand is a high-speed DHW cylinder for heat pumps with an enlarged spiral coil. It builds on the best features of the high‑performance Maxi DHW cylinder for heat pumps. It complements the range of floor‑standing DHW cylinders with spiral coils—where Tower models are the most popular, and Maxi offers the highest output.

The tank uses a significantly enlarged spiral coil—up to more than 2× larger than a classic DHW cylinder*—with surface area from 1.4 m² in Tower Grand 160 up to 4.3 m² in Tower Grand 500. This makes it an optimal choice for installations with both on‑off and inverter heat pumps. The wide capacity range (160–500 l) lets you match the cylinder to low‑ and higher‑output heat pumps.

Convenient installation

In Tower Grand, hydraulic connections are placed at the rear, simplifying installation and day‑to‑day operation. The rear side also features sleeves for heat‑pump sensors and a tapping for connecting a domestic hot‑water circulation pump. With a circulation pump in the DHW loop, you get instant hot water at a stable temperature at every draw‑off point. A large, legible thermometer is located on the front. For stability, every Tower Grand includes adjustable leveling feet. The cylinder can also be powered by an electric immersion heater installed with the GE electric kit on a 6/4" threaded boss.

Safe operation

Long‑term safety is ensured by premium anti‑corrosion protection. Galmet’s EXTRA GLASS^® ceramic enamel forms a smooth, durable protective barrier on the inner tank surface and the spiral coil. It is applied “wet,” evenly over the entire surface, and fired at 850°C for exceptional durability. A standard magnesium anode complements its action. Optionally, Tower Grand can use a maintenance‑free active titanium anode that requires no servicing. Additional protection is provided by DIELECTRIC PROTECTION^® on the tank connections.

Active titanium anodes:

• For capacities up to 300 liters – small titanium anode,
• For capacities 400 and 500 liters – large single titanium anode.

Proven insulation

Top performance depends not only on the excellent coil but also on proper tank insulation. A thick layer of rigid polyurethane foam provides enhanced protection, ensuring long heat retention and low operating costs. Heat losses are further reduced by the outer PVC jacket installed over the insulation.
