Product Description
Detailed information about the product features and specifications
Small buffer tanks for heat pumps are a guarantee of safe operation of a heat pump installation. Acting as a hydraulic separator, they enable stable operation of the system in both heating and cooling modes, which significantly extends the service life of the heat pump and the entire installation. They are used to increase the flow of the heating medium through the heat pump heat exchanger and when it is necessary to provide the heating medium for defrosting the evaporator in air-source heat pumps (via the so-called reverse cycle).
Proven design
Wall-mounted SG(B) buffer tanks are made of black carbon steel, which allows them to be used in systems filled with heating water or glycol and to operate at a maximum pressure of 0.3 MPa. The tightly fitting rigid polyurethane foam insulation used in the construction not only ensures high efficiency by preventing heat losses. It is this feature that enables SG(B) buffers to be used in passive cooling installations. The metal casing in white acts as additional protection and part of the tank’s insulation.
Convenient installation
The wall-mounted heat pump buffers are designed with a complete set of connections that allow convenient installation in virtually any heating or cooling system. Four hydraulic connections Gw 6/4”, additional connections for installing the GE electric heating kit (on a 6/4” plug), an air vent, and a sensor sleeve will meet the expectations of every installer.
Tailored to your needs
Selecting a buffer tank for a heat pump installation usually requires precision. To facilitate professional selection, the following sizes are available: 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 and 140 l.
