Premium Standard is a complete solar kit designed to prepare hot water for a 2–3‑person family. The core of the set consists of 2 top‑quality copper flat‑plate collectors KSG21 Premium GT and an efficient Tower Biwal 200 l heat exchanger. The total absorber area in the collector is nearly 3.9 m² which, combined with a record optical efficiency of 82.9%, guarantees fast and virtually cost‑free water heating.

Efficient collector

The quality guarantee of the Premium Standard solar kit is provided by the KSG 21 Premium GT copper collectors. Their efficiency and durability are confirmed by the European “Solar Keymark” certificate awarded only to the best products. The record efficiency of KSG Premium collectors is the result of a unique design. The heart of the collector is an all‑copper absorber with a highly selective coating, ultrasonically bonded to a double copper harp. Such a collector design provides high thermal conductivity and maximum use of solar energy.

Tempered glass resistant to hail

Tempered, anti‑reflective prismatic glass guarantees transmission of 96% of the sun’s rays incident on the collector. Tests in a certified research laboratory confirmed its hail resistance.

Advanced design

KSG solar collectors are the result of cooperation between Galmet engineers and scientists from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. These efforts led to the creation of one of the most advanced production lines in Europe. A bent aluminium profile— a product with exceptionally high parameters—has been patented. The double‑walled aluminium frame is made from a single element which, in addition to enhanced insulation, also provides greater rigidity of the entire collector. To provide optimal bottom insulation of the collector, top‑quality solar mineral wool has been applied.

Ideal for 2–3 people

The efficient operation of the solar set is the result of combining two high‑quality copper solar collectors with a tank that will maintain a high water temperature for a long time. Such a configuration guarantees exceptional user comfort and low operating costs.

Additional heat source

Tower Biwal 200 l is a vertical floor‑standing heat exchanger equipped with two spiral coils allowing for the maximum use of several heat sources simultaneously.

The primary heat source is clean solar energy. The tank’s design allows you to use it all year round. Heat recovered by the solar collectors is transferred to domestic hot water via a spiral coil dedicated to solar collectors. Placing it in the lower part of the tank ensures the highest operating efficiency. The operation of the lower coil can be supported by an upper coil powered by an eco‑friendly central heating boiler. This shortens water heating time, especially with high DHW demand. In parallel, an insulated electric heating set (GE) or a flange‑mounted heater set installed in the inspection opening can also operate.

Convenient kit installation

The advanced design of the collectors has enabled a simplified installation method. The flat‑plate collector is connected to the system with two connection ports, and to the next collector with just one port.

Tank installation is equally convenient. Grouping all hydraulic connections at the rear of the heat exchanger significantly facilitates installation and at the same time ensures an aesthetic appearance and convenient operation of the system. The rear section also includes sockets for installing a temperature sensor from the central heating boiler and a circulation pump. Using a circulation pump enables the instant draw‑off of water at a constant temperature at every point in the system. On the front, at eye level, the tank has a clear thermometer that facilitates system monitoring.

Proven tank insulation

A significant advantage of Tower Biwal bivalent heat exchangers is that they maintain water temperature for a long time, which ensures comfort and low operating costs. This is due to the patented tank insulation system. Tower Biwal is offered with several types of effective insulation:

• Rigid polyurethane foam (with a skay/PVC‑type plastic jacket).

• Rigid polyurethane foam 70 mm (with a skay/PVC‑type plastic jacket).

Corrosion protection

Safe operation of DHW heat exchangers is ensured by providing top‑quality anti‑corrosion protection. The EXTRA GLASS^® enamel used in Tower Biwal DHW heat exchangers is a ceramic enamel applied using the “wet” method, evenly over the entire surface of the tank. Additionally supported by two magnesium anodes, it ensures hygienic use of the tank. The magnesium anodes can be replaced with an active titanium anode that does not require replacement.
