Product Description
Detailed information about the product features and specifications
Largest area
Flat‑plate aluminium KSG27 collectors provide a 32% increase in active area. As a result, collectors with a gross area of 2.7 m2 guarantee even better use of the roof or plot’s usable area. Galmet’s use of the best components and top‑quality workmanship has resulted in KSG27 collectors being awarded the European Solar Keymark certificate.
KSG collectors by Galmet are the optimal choice when designing ecological domestic hot water heating systems for residential buildings, industrial facilities, hotels and schools, as well as public buildings.
High efficiency
Designing a system with an optical efficiency of 80.7% was made possible by using a double harp consisting of 16 aluminium tubes. Combined with an aluminium absorber with a highly selective coating, a configuration with exceptional parameters was created, meeting the requirements of standards EN 12975‑1:2011‑01 and EN ISO 9806:2014‑03. The use of ultra‑durable ultrasonic welding of the harp to the absorber, top‑quality solar wool insulation, and tempered prismatic glass has produced a product of outstanding durability.
Advanced technology
The increased strength of Galmet collectors is also due to the use of a patented double‑walled aluminium profile for the frame. Produced from a single bent element, it provides enhanced thermal insulation and proper stiffness. Developing the production technology for the aluminium KSG collector is one of the stages of cooperation between Galmet engineers and scientists from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. It culminated in the creation of one of the most advanced complete solar collector production lines in Europe.
Easy installation
The advanced construction of the collectors resulted in a simplified installation method. The flat‑plate collector is connected to the system using two connection ports, and to the next collector with just one port.
KSG GT solar collectors are offered with mounting kits: directly on a pitched roof or on a rack, and on a flat roof.
Comprehensive additional equipment
For each KSG collector, Galmet offers complete additional equipment, which includes:
- Pump group containing efficient, electronic circulation pumps.
- Expansion vessel with a capacity from 18 to 50 litres.
- STDC control module; MTDC controller or Smart GT Sol with colour display available at extra charge.
- Collector‑to‑system connection kit.
- Glycol dedicated to aluminium collectors – 20 litres.
and components of the solar set, including:
- Bivalent heat exchangers with capacities from 200 to 500 litres.
- Heat exchangers with heat pump.
Collectors are connected to the system using stainless‑steel pipes and chromed connection kits. The heat transfer fluid should be propylene glycol intended for aluminium collectors.
Economy and warranty
Using Galmet solar collectors for domestic hot water heating saves up to 60% of energy costs. High‑quality materials and proven production technology have made it possible to provide a 10‑year warranty on collector efficiency.
