Airmax 3rd generation is the result of many years of experience of Galmet's research and development department and continuous pursuit of perfection. The latest generation of heat pumps are inverter air-source heat pumps with ecological and efficient R290 refrigerant designed for new and renovated buildings. These are two devices Airmax3 7GT (2-9kW), Airmax3 12GT (3-15kW) allowing flexible modulation of their heating power and adaptation to the heating needs of practically any home. Both energy-efficient, newly built ones and older, modernized buildings with radiator installations. Airmax3 guarantees "green" and cheap heat in our homes. Thanks to its versatility, Airmax3 works perfectly both in single-family houses and in larger facilities such as multi-family buildings, offices or industrial halls.

Airmax3 impresses not only with its appearance, but also with advanced technology and exceptional efficiency confirmed by energy class A+++, thanks to which it reduces heating costs. This is a combination of the highest efficiency of advanced inverter-controlled compressors and ecological R290 refrigerant with excellent thermodynamic properties. Heating, cooling the house and domestic hot water heating is possible thanks to free energy from renewable sources. The highest COP coefficient of 5.2 (for the 12GT model at A7W35) testifies to the high efficiency of the device.

Cooling function, intuitive application with full range of functions for user and service technician, large readable control panel with high-resolution color screen, support for wireless room sensors, complete set of sensors, control of two heating circuits and other heat sources and ventilation system or cooperation with Smart Home intelligent house system are functions and options prepared for the user as standard.

All this is available in the form of complete ready-to-install sets for quick installation.

Exceptional technology and highest efficiency

Proven construction

  • Efficient Emerson Copeland Scroll inverter spiral compressor is the most efficient solutions on the market! Allowing flexible modulation of heat pump heating power even in the range from 2 to 9 kW (Airmax3 7GT) or from 3 to 15kW (Airmax3 12GT) and adapt them to almost all installations - both energy-efficient, in new buildings, and older, modernized e.g. with radiator installations. Airmax3 heat pump compressor provides better operating parameters – higher operating temp. – better envelope – than even compressors with EVI on R410!
  • 23% lower outdoor unit (Airmax3 12GT vs Airmax2 12GT) – allows easy installation, even under a window.
  • Timeless classic design and natural shapes and colors of the outdoor unit work very well in any space.
  • Durable housing resistant to atmospheric factors was made of aluminum and plastic.
  • Airmax3 heat pump was tested in a cooling chamber, in extreme climatic conditions already at the prototype stage.
  • Efficient defrosting of the new Airmax outdoor unit is taken care of by the intelligent Active Defrost system.

Extremely quiet

Engineers from the hybrid heating systems and heat pumps R&D department at Galmet have also ensured the best acoustic properties of the latest design. The new generation Airmax is 13% "quieter" than its predecessor (sound power Airmax3 12GT vs Airmax2 12GT).

Ecological refrigerant

Advanced technology and high efficiency of Airmax 3rd generation are the result of combining state-of-the-art inverter compressors with excellent thermodynamic properties of ecological R290 refrigerant, so-called propane.

  • High efficiency of Airmax3 heat pump is achieved with a smaller amount of refrigerant.
  • Natural R290 refrigerant allows achieving very high heat pump operating parameters and high efficiency even at low outdoor temperatures.
  • R290 refrigerant does not negatively affect the ozone layer. It has the lowest ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) = 0.
  • Ecological R290 is safe for the environment. Propane has the lowest impact on the greenhouse effect among refrigerants used in heat pumps. GWP (Global Warming Potential) = 3.
  • The benefit for both installer and user is also no need to register the device in the CRO database - Central Register of Operators, as is the case with older refrigerants.

Easy and quick installation

Installation and operation of the Airmax3 heat pump are intuitive and simple. They also do not require f-gas qualifications. Specially for new inverter heat pumps, Galmet has developed special Gbox and Onebox hydraulic modules. They contain practically all necessary boiler room elements in one module. Additionally, Onebox is a so-called hydraulic cabinet, i.e. it has been integrated with a domestic hot water tank. All hydraulic connections, sensors and controls are routed to the hydraulic module. Only communication cable and power supply are routed to the outdoor unit. This significantly simplifies installation and service. Gbox and Onebox are universal and adapted to all Airmax3 heat pumps, they can also have both single and three-phase power supply.

  • Convenient installation is enabled by the internal Gbox hydraulic module designed for Airmax3 heat pumps. Maximum installation simplification is ensured by using the Onebox hydraulic cabinet.
  • One of many advantages for the installer is the first startup configurator – Step by Step and special installer menu.
  • Configuration of Gbox module and Onebox hydraulic cabinet enables handling of two heating circuits and wireless room sensors.
  • Airmax3 air-source heat pump can be automatically controlled based on heating curve, constant set temperature or operating schedule.
  • Among many functions available for user and installer, important are also: control of circulation pump and DHW tank heater, heating schedule: buffer, DHW tank, heating circuits.
  • Safe DHW tank disinfection is taken care of by the Anti-legionella function.
  • Connection of all installation elements, central heating buffer, DHW tank, additional heating circuits etc. is enabled by a complete set of sensors.
  • Convenient room temperature control is enabled by wireless room sensor, delivered as standard. It serves as a room thermostat.
  • Complete control of room temperatures and heat pump operating parameters is possible via app or through web browser – internet module as standard.
  • Heat pumps are offered in single and three-phase sets (230V - Airmax3 7GT) or (400V - Airmax3 12GT).
  • Additional protection of heat pump operation in case of power supply interruptions is enabled by using UPS, with which the heat pump can cooperate.
  • Airmax3 can cooperate with Smart Home System e.g. Sinum.

Internal hydraulic module Gbox

Airmax3 heat pumps are offered as optimally selected sets. In configuration with Gbox module, the set includes, apart from the outdoor heat pump unit and hydraulic module: domestic hot water tank (with heater), central heating buffer (with sensor cover).

In the set with Gbox module, DHW tank designed for heat pumps Tower Grand type 200 (Airmax3 7GT) or 300 (Airmax3 12GT) and hanging central heating buffer (with sensor cover) type 100 (Airmax3 7GT) or 120 (Airmax3 12GT) are installed. In Gbox hydraulic module are built-in:

  • Energy-efficient, electronic circulation pump with smooth speed control.
  • Built-in three-stage flow heater 7 kW (2.33 / 4.66 / 7 kW).
  • Three-way switching valve with actuator.
  • Heat pump controller with glass screen and high resolution.

Power supply is universal – 230V or 400V - depending on selected connection variant.

Onebox hydraulic cabinet

Airmax³ Onebox

Sets with Airmax3 heat pump in configuration with Onebox hydraulic cabinet allow maximum installation simplification while increasing the aesthetics of the installation itself. In the device, apart from elements known from Gbox, DHW tank and most installation elements are built-in. Analogically as in version with Gbox, sets are offered in configuration with central heating buffer (with sensor cover) type 100 (Airmax3 7GT) or 120 (Airmax3 12GT). Onebox hydraulic cabinet consists of:

  • Efficient DHW heat exchanger for heat pumps with 190 l capacity with coil surface 2.5 m2, additional 2 kW electric heater and titanium anode.
  • Built-in three-stage flow heater 7 kW (2.33 / 4.66 / 7 kW).
  • Energy-efficient, electronic circulation pump with smooth speed control.
  • Heat pump controller with glass screen and high resolution.
  • Air and dirt separator.
  • Expansion vessel for central heating.
  • Manometer.
  • Valve for filling and venting the central heating installation.

Power supply is universal – 230V or 400V - depending on selected connection variant.

Especially since grants for their purchase and installation can be obtained in support programs for ecological heating devices. Clean Air - for modernized homes and My Heat - for new buildings thanks to energy class A+++ (A7W35), A++ (A7W55) and certified tests in accredited European laboratory or My Electricity 5.0.
